Looking back on 2025, one thing’s for sure, we stayed busy. This was a year of growth, glow-ups, and good vibes at Housing Works Cannabis Co, one of the leading NYC cannabis dispensaries and New York City’s first nonprofit cannabis dispensary.
We refreshed our look, updated our hours to better serve our amazing customers, and gave our digital space some extra love while staying true to our mission of community care and access to legal cannabis in NYC. Same mission. Same community. Just leveled up.

A Fresh Look & Better Hours at Our NYC Dispensary
We rolled out a refreshed look and updated our hours to make it even easier for our community to visit our New York cannabis dispensary for education, shopping, and events.
420 Cannathon & the Debut of the HWCC Bunny
We kicked things off in April with our 420 Cannathon, celebrating recreational cannabis in New York alongside some of our favorite New York cannabis brands. The debut of the HWCC Bunny and our park prize packs made this one of the most memorable cannabis events in NYC of the year.
Pride Season & a Legendary Cannabis Drop
Pride season brought one of our most celebrated releases: the Sasha Colby x Flamer infused pre-roll, quickly becoming a favorite among customers looking for standout cannabis products in NYC.
To make it even more special, the one and only Sasha Colby stopped by our NYC dispensary, creating a moment that perfectly blended culture, community, and cannabis.
National Coming Out Day at Housing Works Cannabis Co
Before Halloween arrived, we proudly honored National Coming Out Day, one of our most meaningful LGBTQ+ community events in NYC.
Customers enjoyed aura photography readings, tarot sessions with Privilege from The Bettering Company, and sweet treats from Flamer. The evening ended with a vibrant drag show that celebrated self-expression and reinforced why HWCC remains a trusted, mission-driven cannabis dispensary in New York City.
HalloWeedTown
Once spooky season hit, HalloWeedTown took over our space and quickly became a highlight among fall cannabis events in NYC.
From pumpkin decorating with Fernway and a horror-inspired Polaroid photoshoot with Greenline to pop-ups, costume contests, and hands-on activities, the store buzzed with creativity and community.
Cannabis 101
Education stayed front and center with Cannabis 101, an interactive cannabis education event in NYC led by industry expert Adam Rosenberg of Vlasic Labs and the National Cannabis Industry Association.
Guests explored plant basics, product education, and cannabis policy, leaving informed, confident, and empowered.
Think Coffee × GRÖN
Our fall collaboration with Think Coffee and GRÖN brought together rich coffee and artisanal infused chocolates, two favorites for anyone seeking premium cannabis edibles in NYC.
Rooted in sustainability and social good, the partnership reflected everything we value as a nonprofit cannabis dispensary.
Green Wednesday at Our NYC Cannabis Dispensary
Just before Thanksgiving, we wrapped up the year with Green Wednesday, one of the biggest cannabis shopping days in NYC. Customers stocked up on legal cannabis products, saved big, and supported our mission with every purchase.
Milestones for New York’s First Legal Cannabis Dispensary 2025 also marked major milestones:
– 1 year of our Nomad location
– 3 years of our flagship store as New York City’s first legal cannabis dispensary
Each milestone reminded us how far we’ve come and how much our community has helped us grow.
